LIKE A VILLAGE
A village with welcoming, two-storey houses gathering around a luxuriant garden with greenhouses, this is what the new headquarter and production, packaging and storage plant of Davines, designed by Matteo Thun & Partners / MTLC look like. The gentle mood of the complex and the transparency of the buildings given by their wide glazed surfaces reect the engagement of Davines with environmental and ethical sustainability. The distinct sense of beauty, the professional values and mission of the hair care brand are symbolized by an almost playful architecture based on the archetype of the European house with gabled roof, carried by cubic volumes, just as it was a children’s construction kit. Essential materials such as wood for primary structures, glass for the gable end of the buildings and a metal cladding for the roof and external upper sidewalls confer a humane feel to the complex.
